Don’t Breathe

The veteran is a blind man, but then it turns out that he is not as helpless as he seems. And when the 3 people think they can get away with the money easily, turns out they could not. They must find a way to escape the house, or they will become the next victim.

Cuma pak Veteran ini bukan tokoh jagoannya,  he is more the villain eventhough he is also the victim of the burglary.

Meski buta, si pak Veteran  is very well trained to live his life without his sight. Memaksimalkan panca inderanya yang lain, dia dapat dengan mudah menembak tepat mengenai sasaran, melawan para perampok, and even he keeps a hostage in his basement ! {spoiler, people!!}

So it’s about revenge, everybody. His only child died and the killer got away easily thanks to the family’s wealth. They paid him a huge amount of money but it didn’t stop him from paying back. He wants his child back, not in the voodoo magic way of bringing up the dead, but in other way which is I must say quite surprising.

I really like how the story evolved from what I think as a usual burglary attempt and normal people vs a blind man, to a story of how a blind man ‘can do so much thing’ in the name of love. It also  emphasizes that being a disabled person does not mean you are helpless and rely on other people to live your life. Losing one of your five senses is not the end of your world. In the other hand, it will strengthen your other senses and there are still many things could be done with what’s left.

Be grateful with what you have.

Always.
